Read Carefully
A site is signing you up. Every box on the form is worded to trip you up — double negatives, opt-out traps, "untick to decline." You will be told what you actually want. Make the control match it.
1Read each item and its plainly stated intent.
2Set the checkbox so the real outcome matches what you want.
3See where the wording tried to flip you.

Trick Wording
Trick wording is confusing language — double negatives, opt-out checkboxes, "uncheck to decline" — engineered so the careless reading does the opposite of what you intended.
It harvests consent and sign-ups from people who thought they had declined, and it is everywhere consent is collected.
